Position Summary:

The Expert Program Manager will be a Transmission Line and Substation (T&S) functional area compliance subject matter expert as well as a cross-functional team member.  They will work as a liaison throughout the T&S functional areas, helping to drive/maintain compliance by ensuring proper documentation, proper notification management, and timely order closeout.  The Expert Program Manager will work with all T&S regulators to ensure the M&C team has appropriate targets, understanding of priorities, communication of changes to procedures, visibility into compliance dates/objectives and understanding of impacts that span all aspects of PG&E’s business.

 

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of PG&E’s operations, be comfortable leading cross-functional teams, managing all aspects of a program including target setting/management and timelines, pulling maintenance and asset data from SAP, maintaining strategic and analytical oversight, communicating with leadership as appropriate, developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to the appropriate work planning and execution processes.

 

This position will require travel for regulatory field audits, occasional on-site meetings, and may require occasional irregular work hours to meet deadlines.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 

 

A reasonable salary range is: 

  • Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $122,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)    $158,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $194,000.00

 

  • Minimum Base Salary (California)    $116,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (California)    $150,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (California)    $184,000.00

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 7 years of relevant experience

 

Desired Qualifications:

•Experience managing/supporting maintenance and preventative work

•Comprehensive understanding of utility operations and work execution processes

•Experience with using SAP/Foundry/Power BI to pull and manage data

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•PMP certification and / or MBA with an emphasis in a quantitative (e.g. Finance), analytical discipline, compliance and/or quality

•Prior experience LEAN Management tools

•Prior experience process mapping and supporting waste elimination

•Prior experience developing partnerships with external stakeholders for work execution

 

Responsibilities:

•Manage targets, timelines, resources, strategy alignment, and communications associated with M&C Portfolio

•Develop partnerships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance

•Lead development of multi-year plans compliance plan to ensure PG&E is meeting or exceeding regulatory commitments and requirements

•Lead creative resolution of program risks and issues identified

•Ensure appropriate M&C documentation governance, as necessary.  Actively managing and ensuring timely documented completion of all M&C notifications deemed high priority.

• Liaison between CIRT/Inspections/Frontline.  Able to make any/all necessary changes on tags and will document all changes within SAP.

• Lead of random quality checks/reviews on closed out M&C notifications and orders in SAP

• Responsible for proactively managing regional compliance and escalating exceptions

• Facilitates all data request responses/responsibilities as assigned

• Active member of Substation/Transmission Operations Emergency Center (STOEC): facilitating and completing any compliance documentation or other needs
