Department Overview

The Credit Policy and Revenue Operations organization consists of five major work categories which includes managing credit policies, collecting on past due receivables, processing of incoming physical payments (physical and electronic) and managing payment exceptions.  The teams are responsible for protecting the financial integrity of PG&E’s Utility Operations through managing collections, policies and customer payments. To be effective, we must collect the greatest amount of outstanding revenue within the shortest time possible while minimizing our exposure to risk.  Overall, we must execute these tasks precisely and efficiently while providing the best service possible to our customers.  We aim to define and drive strategies through data for collections, credit policies and payment channels, while encouraging a culture of safety, affordability, and employee engagement. 

 

Position Summary

Manages third party collection agency partnership, establishes goals and targets, and monitors performance.  Ensures program is operating effectively.  Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Stockton, CA approximately 2 days per week, or more, based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. 

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

California Minimum: $​97,000.00

California Maximum: $154,000.00

 

 

  • Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s)
  • Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
  • Developing, measuring and reporting on success of the program  
  • Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners
  • Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.
  • Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E    
  • Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures
  • Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels 

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals 
  • Works independently on most issues
  • Provides direction on overall program plan and goals
  • Responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan
  • Communicates findings and recommendations to various levels of management
  • Develops budget forecasts, conducts analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develops solutions to address
  • Develops new and ad-hoc reports, summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in business. 
  • 6 years of work-related experience or equivalent
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet business needs
  • Valid CA driver’s license or ability to obtain by 1st day of hire

  • Advanced knowledge of Program Management
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams
  • Ability to work within a Regulatory environment
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
  • Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information.
