Department Overview

In Customer Care we are focused on delivering the desired customer experience for each of our customers. Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. Each of our organizations, though completely dependent upon each other, is an expert in their area and will further drive PG&Es alignment around the customer. The Credit and Customer Payment Processing organization within PG&E's Customer Operations and Enablement organization focus on driving positive customer experiences through Credit policy and outreach to help customers manage bills. 

 

 

Position Summary

Leads the development and implementation of non-technical business projects or administrative projects from inception to closeout utilizing project management tools and methodologies to manage the scope, schedule and cost.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Stockton Regional Office two times a week and or based on business needs.

 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

California Minimum:$129,000

California Maximum:$220,000

 

Job Responsibilities

·  Define project scope and objectives; establish project team with agreed upon roles and responsibilities; obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency and communication plans; obtain management approval as needed; ensure project documentation is maintained; identify, analyze, and address project performance issues; manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables; communicate project status to all stakeholders; assess project risk and develop contingency plans; and identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.

·  Ensures the cost-effective implementation of the projects while optimizing capital investments.

·  Gathers, defines and documents project requirements.

·  Communicates project status to all stakeholders.

  • The Principal Business Project Manager’s core responsibilities are to provide leadership, planning, governance, organization, and project management required to maximize the value various projects. You will support cross-functional initiatives and change management across multiple teams and organizations. You will provide daily, weekly, and monthly report-outs to varying levels of leadership and be expected to drive various initiatives independently, professionally, and confidently.
  • The successful candidate will be an experienced leader who is highly analytical, detailed oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills to complete the accounting operations and collaborate with business partners to research and resolve issues. The Manager will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is self-motivated to drive projects and take ownership of product implementation.  
  • The Principal Business Project Manager’s implements and integrates continuous improvement, full lifecycle project management governance, and end-to-end process management across the Credit and Customer Revenue Processing. Additionally, the Project Manager supports the ongoing operations of a 150-coworker department, in such, that you should demonstrate the ability to work seamlessly amongst your peers of a diverse and dynamic group.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

·  Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

·  Job-related experience, 10 years

·  PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
