Department Overview

Enterprise Vegetation Management Data management is a unified organization comprised of various departments that collaborate effectively to deliver high-quality technology solutions for the Vegetation Management line of business. The organization is responsible for strategic technology planning, roadmap development, solution design, solution delivery, and solution support. 

 

Position Summary

Support vegetation management technology and operations on the One VM Project. Identify and implement process and system improvements, manage communications, coordinate, and assist in the delivery of essential business requirements to drive the development of new applications and tools. Act as the vegetation management business liaison between IT and end users for upcoming programs on the OneVM product roadmap.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. 

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $95​,000

Bay Area Maximum: $​143,000

&/OR​

California Minimum: $​90,000

California Maximum: $136,000

  • This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
  • This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. The headquarters location is flexible within the PG&E service territory.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist VM Technology with the leadership of key department initiatives such as system development, requirements gathering, and focused discussions with end users
  • Develop scripts and participate in the performance and coordination of UAT (user acceptance testing)
  • Act as a Business Product Owner and work with SME’s to update and approve process maps and groom requirements.
  • Influence decisions and provide recommendations for change that will lead to the success of company goals and cost effectiveness
  • Liaison between various departments and cross functional teams
  • Provide a conduit of communication between Operations and Technology. Be the voice of the vm operations within the development space.
  • Participate on cross functional teams
  • Provide demos for internal and external parties on current functionality
  • Support organization as a subject matter expert by providing information and direction to resources through various delivery channels
  • Use system and personnel resources to successfully address inquiries from internal business partners

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 5 years

Desired:

  • Adaptable to changing environments and ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Outstanding organizational skills: must have the ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities. Must be comfortable speaking to a diverse audience with different levels of operational knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints
  • Able to present research findings and make recommendations to stakeholders
  • Ability to correctly interpret business needs and convey key requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in multi/cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lead teams
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations at the Manager level
  • Advanced understanding of MS Office
  • SalesForce experience
  • Jira experience or IT project experience
  • Working Experience with the corresponding line of business
  • PMP preferred
