Department Overview

 

Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response.

 

Position Summary

 

Develops and communicates an integrated and optimized work plan portfolio for gas transmission, gas distribution, new business and electric civil work. Works with functional leads to establish the baseline strategic approach to work plan execution. Evaluates work portfolios ensuring associated costs, timing and resources needed are integrated and optimized. Develops contingency plans as needed. Monitors execution and updates portfolios for planning purposes. Drives strategic adjustments as needed. Works with key stakeholders to identify work plans for business improvements.

 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $​80,000

Bay Area Maximum: $​120,000

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Performs analysis on moderately complex data models selecting from various reports and data options and presents recommendations.
  • Collaborates with team to work on issues, projects or activities.
  • Extracts, collects and formats data to populate reports, files or databases.
  • Determines data needs and collects, extracts and formats data based on desired data outcomes.
  • Communicates (oral and written) with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data.
  • Develops skills through training and development opportunities and stays current on industry and technologies.
  • Prepares compilation of documents, charts, reports, presentations, and other materials based on research.
  • Performs basic research internally and externally.
  • Assists in the tracking and reporting of work progression.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience with MS-Microsoft Office applications-Access, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, Word, job-related
  • Job-related experience, 3 years

 

Desired:

 

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in resource management
  • Experience in data management
  • Experience with click scheduling
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience with Salesforce
