Department Overview

The team members of Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

 

Position Summary

This is an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E.  This job is subject to collective bargaining.

 Provides clerical and/or administrative support (handling mail, ordering/stocking/distribution office supplies, copying) to one or more departments/supervisors.

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreement, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. ​Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the starting hourly rate range for this position is $52.75, subject to collectively bargained wage increases.

 

 Responsibilities:

• Perform clerical duties in senior capacity to ensure smooth functioning of the business unit.

• Execute and monitor administrative tasks on a day-to-day basis.

• Maintain and manage the office properties and assets in an organized manner.

• Check, verify, and address client (LOB) escalations.

• Check, verify, and address vendor escalations.

• Perform quality assurance work for team (reports).

• Prepare performance board. • Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure effective management of clerical teams.

• Manage and oversee team on multiple reports and standardized projects.

• Act as SME for LOB support

• Ensure compliance of corporate policies and standards in the organization.

• Cover specific LOB on a day-to-day basis.

• Act as POC for LOB for critical tasks when other Operating Clerks for area are OOO – TBD based on business need.

• Duties will be assigned based on business need.

 

 Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

-Must be at least 18 years of age

-Must possess a High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

-Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 500 pounds on a cart a minimum of one time a day

-Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours a day

 

Desired Qualifications:

-1+ years in-person customer service experience

-Current or previous PG&E employee

-Current or previous Hiring Hall

-Previous mailroom (or distribution) experience

-Ordering supplies and tracking/receipt/delivery/distribution

-Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office products suite, outlook, word, and excel

-Comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions

-Strong attention to detail

-Possess communication skills, both written and verbal

-Perform simple/ repetitive tasks

-Organize tasks and set priorities

-Manage multiple tasks simultaneously

-Use basic problem-solving techniques

-Work autonomously, or with minimal supervision
