Business Project Manager, Principal (169595) Job Description

Department Overview

In Customer Channels and Services (CC&S), we are focused on providing the end-to-end meter to cash experience for our customers by delivering for our hometowns, serving our planet, and leading with love. The CC&S organization is responsible for revenue processing, full-service Contact Center Operations (including inbound and outbound call handling, IVR, email, AI), collections, call routing, Digital Strategy as well as providing support during emergency operations.

Position Summary

Leads the development and implementation of non-technical business projects or administrative projects from inception to closeout utilizing project management tools and methodologies to manage the scope, schedule and cost.

 

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

 

Bay Area Min: $136,000

 

Bay Area Mid: $184,000

 

Bay Area Max: $232,000

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Sacramento, CA location, based on business needs or company requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and objectives; establish project team with agreed upon roles and responsibilities; obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency and communication plans; obtain management approval as needed; ensure project documentation is maintained; identify, analyze, and address project performance issues; manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables; communicate project status to all stakeholders; assess project risk and develop contingency plans; and identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices.
  • Ensures the cost-effective implementation of the projects while optimizing capital investments.
  • Gathers, defines and documents project requirements.
  • Communicates project status to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 10 years
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification

Desired:

  • Wide-ranging job experience in customer-focused organizations (e.g., contact center operations, web operations, collections, etc.).
