Position Summary

The Support Desk Supervisor will support the Electric Compliance Manager and help lead the team responsible for managing regulatory data requests and ensuring compliance excellence. This role will flex as needed and oversee intake, priors analysis, logging, governance, and assignment of requests while driving quality control processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality. The Supervisor will work closely with the Electric Compliance Manager on strategic process improvements and champion initiatives that enhance efficiency and quality. Additionally, the role mentors team members, monitors workload, and ensures timely, audit-ready responses for PG&E’s internal and external stakeholders.

 

The selected candidate must live within PG&E’s service territory. Preferred HQ for this position is our Oakland-based HQ.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)            $128,000.00

Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)        $173,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $218,000.00

 

Minimum Base Salary (California)         $122,000.00

Mid Base Salary (California)      $164,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (California)        $207,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Oversight

    • Provide day-to-day direction, monitor workload, and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
    • Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Support Desk Functions

    • Oversee intake, logging, and assignment of data requests; ensure accurate tracking and timely processing.
    • Maintain and update databases, perform quality checks, and produce final responses.
    • Conduct priors analysis to validate historical responses for consistency and accuracy.

Quality Control Functions

    • Review and approve data responses for accuracy, tone, and compliance with confidentiality protocols.
    • Implement and maintain quality control checklists and best practices.
    • Identify process gaps and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and quality.

Process Improvement & Reporting

    • Champion projects that enhance data response governance and quality control processes.
    • Track and measure quality performance; prepare reports and present findings to leadership.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in auditing or quality assurance
  • 2 years supervisory or project/team lead experience

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business
  • 7 years related relevant experience including managing compliance/risk programs or controls
  • Audit or Assurance background
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor
  • ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt
  • Certified Data Management Professional
  • Project Management Professional
