Department Overview

Agency Reporting is part of the Intake & Agency Reporting Team within the Compliance Excellence organization. Agency Reporting serves as PG&E’s primary contact with the CPUC’s Safety Enforcement Division (SED) for audits and data requests. It manages all audit phases, coordinates stakeholder meetings and data requests, and facilitates and participates in week-long on-site regulatory audits of PG&E’s electric facilities and assets, Transmission, Substation, and Distribution.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business needs. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. Travel is 40% with occasional overnight stays.

 

The selected candidate must live within PG&E’s service territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)            $128,000.00

Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)        $173,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $218,000.00

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of a team who provide pre-audit compliance support and lead field audits of electric facilities and assets, Transmission, Substation, and Distribution.
  • Lead and participate in scheduled field audits.
  • May work with or provide information to various regulatory agencies, e.g., CPUC Electric Incident Reports; CPUC Inspections; CPUC audit reports; CAISO maintenance inspections; FERC audits or investigations, and NERC/WECC Reliability Standards Compliance.
  • Supervises and oversees the quality and volume of audits performed.
  • Ensure that all data requests received during the field audits have total verifiable and complete responses in a timely manner.
  • Assists in the development of reports for use at all leadership levels.
  • Continually identifies and proposes improvements based on data results. Reviews large amounts of information to identify gaps in performance and determine corrective actions.
  • Ensure that these data requests and responses are logged, entered into the Compliance Excellence Case Management Office Case Management tool to ensure work is tracked and trended.
  • Lead Mock Audits on PG&E assets and facilities as required to ensure on-going compliance requirements.
  • Coaches, develops and leads the team members to achieve the department goals and the individual's development objectives.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in auditing or quality assurance
  • 2 years supervisory or project/team lead experience
  • Travel is 40% with occasional overnight stays.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Current or previous experience as Electric System Inspector, Apprentice Linemen, Lineman, Troublemen, Engineer, Field Engineer, QA or QC Specialist or equivalent line of business.
  • Process improvement skills
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence others to drive for results

  • Good leadership skills and adaptability
  • Computer skills, including competence with Excel, Word, SAP, or similar enterprise resource planning system
