Summary: The Senior Manager of Electric Project Management North leads the team responsible for managing Transmission Line and Substation Major Projects for Electric Operations. The North Region Transmission Line and Substation annual project portfolio can range from $300 to $400 million. The location for this position is flexible within the North Region and will report to the Senior Director of Electric Major Projects. A successful candidate will be responsible for all project management activities including but not limited to safety of the team and project work, ownership of the delivery milestones and attainment and completion of key unit targets. The leader must be forward thinking, able to manage change effectively, cross prioritize project portfolios for budget forecasting purposes, and ensure projects are strategically aligned to stay on track. The Senior Manager will be required to regularly present status updates, provide recommendations and reporting to officers and high-level leaders.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
- Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $163,000.00
- Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $220,000.00
- Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $277,000.00
- Minimum Base Salary (California) $155,000.00
- Mid Base Salary (California) $209,000.00
- Maximum Base Salary (California) $263,000.00
Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of Project Management Supervisors in the successful execution of high visibility electric major projects, including capacity and reliability capital projects
- Provides analysis, market intelligence, governance, research, best practices, and project plans to ensure successful implementation of key milestones
Works cross-functionally with peers and leaders across Electric Operations and Engineering, Planning and Strategy to streamline process and improve efficiency, ensuring outstanding work quality and transparency in communications - Develops and builds a high performance team by setting goals, developing and managing resources, and ensuring the team has adequate tools, training and technology to successfully perform their jobs
- Regularly presents to leaders & stakeholders on project scope, schedule, cost and risk management information to ensure client and customer satisfaction
- Leads team operations and reporting according to SQCDM (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale) and can quickly and efficiently make decisions and resolve identified challenges
- May participate as a member of the Incident Command structure during times of significant events, such as storms, earthquakes, and wind events
- Manages staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and coaching, and rewards and recognition
Qualifications Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar job-related discipline
- 8 years total related equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification
