Department Overview

Information Technology is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.  The Customer Systems & Solutions (CS&S) team is part of the Product & Enterprise Platforms group that supports IT projects, operations, risk & compliance. This team is in the midst of a large customer transformation journey with major programs including Billing Modernization, Contact Center and pge.com re-architecture.

 

Position Summary

Provides analytical support to project managers, program managers, and project leaders. Designs, implements, evaluates and audits project management processes and templates for the project management office (PMO).

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.​


A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $102,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $152,000.00


California Minimum: $97,000.00

California Maximum: $144,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Project Close – Take action to promptly close out the project. Resolve all open items including archiving information and develop and complete a post project critique. Process/Business Improvement – Evaluate if project goals were/were not attained, provide recommendations for process or business improvements, review and close out of project file. Work with responsible parties to implement improvements.
  • Project Execution and Control – Develop, maintain and control project schedule plans. Develop cash flow/forecast plan. Identify schedule and cost variances and recommend corrective action. Perform and report on cost schedule and risk analysis. Regularly communicate status to project manager, team and other stakeholders. Project Documentation – Maintain written and electronic project documentation and records for all aspects of project, including development and maintenance of visual management boards.
  • Project Plan Development and Analysis – Lead team or assist project manager in developing project plans including schedule, budget, cash flow/forecast, assumptions, and key risks. Based on cost and schedule plan, determine if project objectives are achievable. Conduct status meetings, support operating reviews (daily/weekly/monthly) and update status reports to reflect progress and revise project plan as needed.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 6 years job-related experience


Desired:

  • 8 years job-related experience
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent
  • PMI-Project Management Institute CAPM-Certified Associate in Project Management certification,
  • Familiarity with LEAN principles
