Executive Protection Department is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of high-profile individuals within the organization, including executives, Board members, and other key personnel.  Through a combination of intelligence-driven risk assessments, threat monitoring, and strategic security measures, the team ensures a proactive and adaptive approach to executive safety. Focused on discretion and rapid response, the Executive Protection Department plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s leadership and maintaining business continuity.

 

Position Summary

 

The Senior Corporate Security Threat Specialist is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to identify potential threats against the company or individuals, then producing actionable intelligence reports to proactively mitigate risks. You will collect information from open-source intelligence and internal threat applications to correlate data to identify patterns and trends and disseminating key information to relevant stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.

 

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at your assigned headquarter location based on business needs. The HQ location will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and the hiring manager and will be within the PG&E service territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum:             $105,000              

Bay Area Maximum:            $169,000

-Or-

California Minimum:           $100,000

California Maximum:           $161,000

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor open-source intelligence platforms for emerging threats
  • Conduct Social media monitoring for potential threats
  • Develop detailed threat intelligence reports
  • Create actionable alerts and notifications for security teams based on identified threats
  • Produce customized intelligence briefings for relevant stakeholders
  • Complete travel security analysis and assessments
  • Conduct behavior threat assessments
  • Identify and scrub vulnerable PII information
  • Collaborate with other intelligence agencies and analysts to share knowledge and best practices
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Develop executive level briefing documents
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Protection leadership.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Five years of analytical experience in intelligence, counterintelligence, cybersecurity, risk management, behavioral analysis, law enforcement, or other related experience
  • Two years of experience applying information technology and data-driven investigations to security risk management problems. Examples of experience include but are not limited to the following:
    • Security operations center (SOC)analyst
    • Digital forensics, opensource investigations, or crime analysis
    • Analytical fraud detection or prevention
  • Must be able to qualify for NERC/CIP clearance

  • Ability to gather, analyze and interpret complex data from various sources
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to identify patterns and trends in threat data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations
  • Ability to tailor intelligence reports to different audiences
  • Masters degree in Strategic Intelligence, Criminal Justice or related field
  • Advanced certifications in Intelligence analysis or security operations
  • Intelligence background from the military or law enforcement
