Department Overview

The Corporate Affairs organization supports the company by providing regulatory expertise, managing the development, approval and implementation of regulatory filings, rates and tariffs, and advocating the business needs to our stakeholders and regulators. Regulatory Proceedings leads the business in achieving company goals by working with regulators and other stakeholders. Today’s business needs require innovative thinking and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

 

Position Summary

The Case Manager will be responsible for managing regulatory proceedings for assigned cases, ensuring compliance with regulatory directives and stakeholder engagement.  This position may also be involved with the development of case materials, acting as an expert witness, process improvements and other special projects or initiatives.
 
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. 
 
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 
A reasonable salary range is:
 
Bay Area Minimum: $98,000
Bay Area Maximum: $146,000
 

 

Job Responsibilities

- Assigned reports or cases of moderate complexity.
- Independently manage the regulatory process including reviewing regulatory documents such as proposed decisions and other regulatory filings, and writing summaries that consider the impact of case developments on the company, provide insight into implications, and make recommendations on courses of action relating to case comments and/or proposed decisions and recommend changes in case strategy resulting from anticipated or unanticipated decisions, developments, comments. 
- Build knowledge of subject matter, provide guidance and communicate effectively on case strategy or policy issues with company management, collaborating and utilizing manager and director and other leaders as necessary.
- Develop an advocacy and outreach plan to build relationships to collaborate externally with stakeholders to further the company’s objectives and garner support for internal objectives.
- Review and assist subject matter experts with development of testimony, work papers and discovery responses, settlement documents and communications materials; anticipate and understand the impact and proactively address issues.
- Follow all regulatory processes; continually look for and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure all compliance items from CPUC directives are identified, assign them to the responsible FA lead, and consult with FA and attorney if there are any questions about the compliance item, track, monitor and implement.
 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:
 - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 total years of relevant experience
 
Desired:
 - Experience in regulatory/policy, analytics, project management, case management, financial, and/or corporate communications experience
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong public speaking and presentations skills to effectively communicate to various levels of employees, including senior leadership
- Excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze and interpret regulatory documents and understand implications to company
