Department Overview
The hardworking coworkers of Electric Engineering ensure all manners of electric engineering—including electric standards and process safety, electric design engineering, instrumentation testing and controls, undergrounding, electric regulatory compliance and electric investment planning are in place to safely enable a strategic and stable workplan for our Electric Operations partners. Our organization is accountable for program planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects. Electric Engineering is comprised of approximately 2,000 coworkers.
Position Summary
Evaluates the effectiveness of business processes, practices and procedures. Recommends improvements to current processes, practices and procedures. This role performs analysis on complex data models, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $98,000
Bay Area Maximum: $146,000
Job Responsibilities
- Performs root cause analysis on complex processes that requires customized reports and data.
- Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes selecting from various complex variables.
- Conducts studies and develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.
- Develops/delivers end-to-end process training materials to better support business needs.
- May provide guidance to Business Process Analysts and Business Process Analyst Associates.
- May manage small-to-mid-size projects.
- Lead cross-functional projects, define scope and timelines, assign tasks, and manage resources and issues
- Collaborate with peers and management across departments to exchange ideas and gather information
- Develop and deliver training materials, update work procedures, and maintain process documentation
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor of Science in Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field or equivalent work experience
- Job-related experience, 4 years
Desired:
- LSS-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Ability to document, analyze, and redesign workflows
- Proficiency in extracting and analyzing complex data sets using excel, SAP, and business objects
- Experience driving organization change and process adoption across departments
- Strong written and verbal skills to engage with internal stakeholders
