Job Summary

Manages aspects of program implementation and operations.  Ensures program is operating effectively.  Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.

  • ·     Ensuring assigned Functional Areas operate to defined security risk management standards.
  • ·     Managing relationship with and providing direction to business partners.
  • ·     Implementing strategies and process improvement.
  • ·    Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program.
  • ·    Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners.
  • ·    Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities.
  • ·    Identifying stakeholders and communicating within and outside of PG&E.
  • ·    Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures.
  • ·    Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.

This role is hybrid, working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office 2-3 days per week currently.  Your presence at other Bay Area locations – including field offices – may be required.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.  This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.   

A reasonable salary range is:  

  • Bay Area Minimum:           $102,000            
  • Bay Area Maximum:          $1 63,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with assigned Functional Areas to conduct security risk profile baseline, identify performance improvements and targets, and develop and execute performance improvement plans to achieve desired level of risk management performance. 
  • Monitors and tracks Functional Area security risk management performance and risk profile.
  • Presents security risk management performance at Lean operating reviews for assigned Functional Areas.
  • Works with Security leadership to evolve security risk management performance standards.
  • Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions.
  • Organizes and leads cross-functional teams to influence security risk management program direction and decisions.
  • Completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals.
  • Works independently on most issues.
  • Provides direction on overall program plan and goals.
  • Responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan.
  • Communicates findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Develops new and ad-hoc reports, summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience    
  • 6 years of job-related experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of Program Management
  • Advanced knowledge of Organizational Change Management
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints
  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills to deliver findings and make recommendations to stakeholders and various levels of management
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
  • Demonstrated follow-up tenacity with cross-functional contributor
  • Effectively copes with change, makes decisions, and acts without having complete information and comfortably handles uncertainty 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

Desired:

  • PMP certification
  • Organizational Change Management certification
  • Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Lean six sigma certifications
  • Security certifications
  • Experience or understanding of enterprise risk quantification
