Department Overview

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is a cross-functional organization leading PG&E’s Propel program, a major business and technology modernization initiative designed to unlock customer value by simplifying collaborative work processes. Propel will migrate PG&E to the new version of SAP, S/4HANA, presenting a unique opportunity for PG&E to standardize business processes, clean the technology core, and enable innovation for breakthrough change across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Through a phased approach, Propel will implement process standardization, operating model changes, data improvements, SAP, and other technology applications with a focus on incrementally improving business capabilities and delivering value.

Position Summary

The STP (Source To Pay) CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) Business Process Analyst, Principal, will play a pivotal role in PG&E’s Propel program, leading the implementation of Icertis (Contract Lifecycle Management) as part of our broader business and technology modernization efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of contract management processes and general understanding of Source to Pay (STP) processes and solutions including requisition to approval, PO management, guided buying, catalogs, services procurement, and supporting systems (Ariba, SAP.) The ideal candidate will possess the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic objectives and will be responsible for ensuring alignment with Propel’s goals of standardizing business processes, enhancing data quality, and enabling technological innovation for the future state STP design.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland based on business needs or company requirements.

 

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position.  The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.  The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint <$144,000 - $194,000>.  The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Bay Area Min: $ 144,000

Bay Area Mid: $ 194,000

Bay Area Max: $ 244,000

 

 

 

Reporting Relationship

The STP CLM Business Process Analyst, Principal, will report directly to the STP Senior Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Recognized Contract Lifecycle Management subject matter expert who represents procurement teams and stakeholders in the overall S/4Hana Modernization program.
  • Supports all project phases as representative of the procurement process in design workshops, socialization, and confirmation, business requirements for L3/L4processes.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities within the new tool to accelerate value realization
  • Facilitates socialization of future state design concepts with peers.
  • Validates/confirms business requirements against documented regulations and procedures.
  • Identify gaps and cross functional design requirements and solve unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Performs root cause analysis on the most complex processes that have cross functional impact.
  • Works with senior management to support strategic planning and decision making in relation to organizational and cross functional business processes.
  • May manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 years of related or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience either working in Icertis CLM or supporting an Icertis implementation
  • LSS Green Belt
