Department Overview

Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

 

 

Position Summary

Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating efficiently, timely, and within budget. Responsible for tasks related to building relationships, improving processes, managing key areas, and ensuring overall efficiency and compliance in New Business operations.
 
The New Business PMO is forming a new team within Electric Operations with the objective to develop, implement, and execute plans management of the New Business Work portfolio.  The team is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. There are five regional teams with assigned work locations within the PG&E Service Region (Bay, South Bay/Central Coast, Central Valley, North Coast, and North Valley/Sierra) 

  • This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

Bay Minimum: $122,000
Bay Maximum: $194,000

 

&/OR

 

CA Minimum: $116,000
CA Maximum: 184,000

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Help implement and oversee program performance by tracking and reporting using KPIs, dashboards, and other tools to provide visibility to stakeholders and drive decision-making.
  • Ensure alignment, resolve conflicts, and drive overall project success.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Regularly communicate program updates, roadblocks, and achievements to all stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze program data, identify performance trends, and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues.
  • Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.  
  • Provides others with guidance around complex industry regulatory and compliance environment and considerations.
  • Participates in reviews of in-flight jobs and job completions to ensure financial accountability and adherence to organizational goals
  • Provide direct support for select projects as needed. 
  • Develops new or revises existing scopes of work to ensure compliance standards and deliverables are established. 

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of working time

 

Desired:

 

  • PMP Certification 
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Program Management
  • Ability to influence leaders inside and outside of the department through data analysis, insights and recommendations
  • Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
