Position Summary

The Product Owner provides a clear vision of the product that will be built. From the vision the Product Owner forms well defined user stories, prioritizes user stories and backlog and provides a clear-time line of the product. Maintains the technical integrity and quality of the features/components the team is responsible for. The Product Owner focuses on the end-user experience, needs and features that drive a roadmap to deliver their vision. Builds and maintains relationships that allow the Product Owner to act as the customer proxy. Uses influence to overcome hierarchal challenges.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $182,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Identifies the appropriate customer audience, their preferred communication channels, and potential customer response benchmarks.
  • Leads moderately complex projects with a medium to high corporate or functional priority.
  • Acts as primary liaison between various departments, Stakeholders, business community, and lines of businesses.
  • Develops implementation plans and establish teams to introduce new technology.
  • Develops new tools, resources, communications or to improve processes.
  • Evaluates new products and equipment and keeps abreast of new products and/or equipment available in the market.
  • Develops new moderate complex products.
  • Provides product feedback and customer insight to support product development.
  • Partners with products organization to deliver feedback on existing products and introduce potential products for future programs.
  • Analyzes work plan and schedules to reallocate resources or reprioritize program work.
  • Manages forecasts, budgets, and variances.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Experience as Product Owner or Manager in an Agile environment, 3 years

 

Desired:

 

  • Ability to understand complex business requirements 
  • Ability to explain business problems to development team 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to lead an Agile team
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Product Owner Certification (CSPO, A-CSPO, PSPO, ACPMPO)
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • General SAFe or Agile Certification 
  • Palantir Foundry experience
  • Familiarity with Data Analytics 
  • Familiarity with Electric Utility
  • General experience in software development practices
