Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner, Expert to lead the development and delivery of digital solutions that support PG&E wildfire mitigation and emergency response operations. This role contributes to PG&E wildfire safety mission by enabling effective planning, visibility and responses through digital tools used during Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) events.

 

The Product Owner will define and communicate product vision, manage and prioritize the backlog, and partner with cross functional teams to ensure delivery of high value, customer centric solutions. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Agile delivery practices, excels at navigating complex stakeholder environments and bring a strong sense of ownership and product thinking to mission critical work.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $128,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $218,000.00

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision and roadmap in alignment with business goals, operational priorities and stakeholder needs
  • Own the product backlog, including the creation refinement and prioritization of user stories and features to ensure high value delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across operations engineering and customer teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.
  • Translate complex business processes into actionable product features and digital workflows
  • Serve as the voice of the customer during product development to ensure outcomes deliver intended value.
  • Support Agile delivery by participating in ceremonies, clarifying requirements, and facilitating efficient team execution.
  • Use data, user feedback and insights to inform product decisions and drive iterative improvements.
  • Anticipate downstream impacts and proactively align product decisions with regulatory, safety and compliance standards.
  • Track product performance, define success metrics and identify area for enhancement based on measurable outcomes
  • Contribute to product strategy by aligning short term feature delivery with long term goals and system architecture considerations

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Job-related experience, 5 years


Desired:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as Product Owner, Agile environment, 5 years
  • Agile Certification
