Department Overview

Projects and Construction (P&C) within Electric Operations is accountable for the delivery of greater than $2B in annual Capital work, stretching from programs like Capacity and Pole Replacements to State Infrastructure projects.  Work Readiness and Integration is Project and Construction’s centralized data insights and analytics team focused on in-depth assessments of P&C work delivery to aid P&C in the execution of our annual work portfolio and associated goals. We provide one source of truth for the data, with a common set of tools, methodology, and analytics. Our span extends from portfolio planning in collaboration with our partner organizations on thorough daily workplan management to ensuring consistent, efficient data support needed for all P&C groups involved in work execution.

 

Position Summary

Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office. You will be required to report in person 2 days a week to Dublin, CA. Position HQ flexible within the Bay Area. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $140,000
Bay Area Maximum: $238,000
 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Recognized subject matter expert who represents PG&E in regulatory and/or industry forums on subject of expertise.
  • May manage major cross-functional projects and initiatives.  
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced employees
  • Solves unique and complex problems, anticipating issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrates strategic leadership with internal stakeholders to support Company goals.
  • Leads development of program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives.  Collaborates across organization to ensure alignment of goals to support program.  
  • Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program and portfolio goals.  
  • Develops or provides significant input to PG&E leadership, other utilities with similar programs, industry and/or regulatory decision makers to influence market place and regulatory strategies impacting PG&E and its customers.
  • Lead analysis efforts and deep dives on variances, unit and cost forecasts, and operational trends to provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Lead the preparation of Weekly Operating Reviews as well as Monthly Operating Reviews for the Electric Distribution leadership team, using lean methodologies and principals and may lead cross-functional and continuous improvement initiatives. This includes full stakeholder coordination and action item ownership as well as setup and facilitation of WORs in Dublin.
  • Position supports creation of tools to analyze operational, productivity and efficiency metrics and scorecards that will help recommend operational improvements and potential mitigations.
  • Serves as mentor to less senior Analysts and provides short-term relief for leader
     

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 10 years

 

Desired:

  • Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
