Department Overview
Electric Asset Management is responsible for the electric system engineering and planning, asset strategy, and risk management across transmission, distribution, and substation asset families. Within our Asset Management organization, the distribution inspections strategy team leads development of strategy and guidance for distribution asset inspection and patrol programs for 2.3 million electric distribution structures, ensuring these programs are effectively identifying equipment conditions that are critical to address and operating in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Position Summary
Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $140,000
Bay Area Maximum: $238,000
OR
California Minimum: $133,000
California Maximum: $226,000
Job Responsibilities
- Leads cross functional projects or teams.
- Identifies new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
- Develops and manages department expense budget. Regularly monitors expenses against forecast, providing explanation or justification for budget items and/or variances.
- Communicates project status to all stakeholders.
- Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
- Presents findings and makes recommendations to management.
- Works with all levels of management and senior leadership across functions to influence decisions.
- Develops metrics and dashboards to provide senior leadership with visibility into escalated issues.
- Incorporates feedback from business partners to improve the customer experience.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 10 years of related experience or equivalent
Desired:
- Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
- Electric distribution experience (i.e. field operations, estimating, service planning)
- Proficient in excel, word, and powerpoint
- Proficient in reviewing construction drawings and understanding technical specs
