Position Summary

The Principal Lean Specialist will play a pivotal role in leading Lean initiatives and advancing the business objectives of the Finance organization. You will be responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction in developing and implementing comprehensive Lean programs and creating innovative process efficiency efforts to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

 

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person in the Oakland General Office 1-2x per week or based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum:             $132,000              

Bay Area Maximum:            $226,000

 

Key Responsibilities

Lean-Specific Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing strategic Lean plans to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to drive successful Lean project outcomes.
  • Utilizing Lean tools and methodologies to analyze data and metrics, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable plans.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through Lean principles.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members on Lean practices to enhance their skills and career development.

Process Improvement Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with senior leadership to align process improvement initiatives with organizational priorities.
  • Conducting process assessments and root cause analyses to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
  • Strategic approach for process improvement plans to streamline operations and reduce waste.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of process improvements through key performance indicators.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures while driving process enhancements.

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a job-related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • CA Driver’s license
