Position Summary

Principal, IT ERP Functional Analyst (Services Procurement) implements and maintains ERP solutions for end-to-end Supply Chain Services procurement with cross-functional integrations. Expert in all phases of software lifecycle, including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, configuration, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support. Works with the team of functional, technical experts, business SMEs and consultants responsible for developing/enhancing SAP/Fieldglass modules and other applications required to support PG&E business systems.


PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position.  The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.  The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint $144,000 - $194,000.  The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area Max: $ 244,000


This new teammate needs to be able come to Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Oakland headquarters 3 days a week, since all project team is here in person Tuesday to Thursday. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide fit-to-standard, clean core end-to-end Service procurement solutions in SAP S4 / SAP Fieldglass and similar applications to various PG&E business functions.
  • Analyze complex end-to-end business processes and information needs across one or more business functional areas and external entities.
  • Prepare, present and influence solution proposals to Senior project/IT leadership for alignment and approval.
  • Design and implement data driven solutions or propose alternative approaches to address business challenges.
  • Serve as the Services Procurement solutions champion on one or more projects, review deliverables by SI partners/ consultants, and ensure ownership and accountability for delivery on assigned projects.
  • Document findings from studies, benchmark and prepare recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
  • Collaborate with business teams, technical analysts, architecture and strategy organizations to develop integration strategies and plans for Service Procurement Solutions.
  • Oversee SAP RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflow) object development in the Supply Chain area for projects, enhancements, and production support.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and obtain business sign-off.
  • Take responsibility for the overall SAP solution and SAP interfaces with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Perform additional activities as required by business or project needs.
  • Maintain industry knowledge of relevant ERP systems; understand future ERP capabilities and roadmap.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10 years in IT-Information Technology, or other job-related experience
  • 8 years in IT-Information Technology projects, and large projects experience
  • 8 years implementing or supporting an ERP system


Desired:

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent experience
  • Utility or construction or similar industry experience implementing or supporting complex services procurement solutions including T&M, Milestone-based and lumpsum contracts.
  • Experience implementing Fieldglass SOW solution with various rate structures.
  • Implemented SAP S4 Lean services solution with Service Entry Sheet (SES)
  • Ability to independently analyze and design solutions for highly complex projects.
  • Mastery of ERP concepts, principles, and practices across multiple business areas and ERP modules.
  • Integral involvement in ‘buy versus build’ decisions.
  • Experience integrating with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool, iCertis or similar
