Finance’s vision is to build and sustain leading finance capabilities to support PG&E’s vision. The Enterprise Planning organization leads the company’s work and financial planning process, orchestrating from internal planning processes through external regulatory proceeding development.

 

Position Summary

 

The Principal Business Finance Analyst - Enterprise Planning role will lead the alignment and consistency of enterprise plans and their application across the company. You will use data analytics to ensure our system plans, our work and resource plans, our financial plans, and our regulatory proceedings are all integrated on an on-going basis, delivering planning quality across the enterprise.

 

This role will report to the Sr. Director of Enterprise planning, working closely with the Business Plan Deployment, Enterprise Strategy, Regulatory Affairs, FP&A and Investment Planning teams across the company.

 

The role is classified as hybrid (0-3 days per week in office), working primarily from your remote office and in-person in the Oakland General Office to attend team meetings or as business needs require.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $128,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $218,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Leads gap analysis across RAMP, GRC, CAVA, BPD, and long-term planning outcomes.
  • Drives process integration between key planning inputs across the company.
  • Aligns Financial and operational modeling with enterprise planning process.
  • Leads projects which may be cross functional.
  • Works on unique and complex problems having broad impact that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
  • Conducts highly complex root cause analysis and develops corrective actions to resolve deficiencies.
  • Responds to data requests for areas such as incident investigations, compliance and regulatory audits, or customer inquiries.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or job-related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of job-related experience

 

Desired:

 

  • Master’s Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 10 years job-related experience
