Position Summary:
Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.
- Partnering with the organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach targets at the appropriate time.
- Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program.
- Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners.
- Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E.
- Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures.
- Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
- Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s).
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
- Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $140,000.00
- Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $189,000.00
- Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $238,000.00
- Minimum Base Salary (California) $133,000.00
- Mid Base Salary (California) $180,000.00
- Maximum Base Salary (California) $226,000.00
Responsibilities:
- Lead for structural engineering & design software for electric distribution.
- Specify enhancements
- Determine root cause of bugs and work with vendor to fix bugs.
- Testing of updates
- User support
- Understand and work with the data model underlining the tool
- Maintain the material catalog. This is like a compatible unit catalog but with the focus of physical & spatial properties.
- Lead on data quality efforts (Pole Loading Database)
- Develop training
- Understand load sensitivity, develop additional sensitivity charts, educate others as to what is important.
- Acquire efficiencies related to pole loading analysis.
- Sustain company’s comprehensive PLC software platform.
- Identify business requirements for PG&E
- Develop matrix identifying pros/cons of each software for each requirement
- Develop a business case for PLC software tool modernization
- Remote Sensing Data: work with team to acquire remote sensing data (LiDAR, photos, etc.) and streamline methods to bring such data into designs.
- Identify features that add complexity to a pole loading calculation.
- Incorporate validations into designs for the goal of minimizing errors.
- Develop or provide significant input to PG&E leadership, other utilities with similar programs, industry and/or regulatory decision makers to influence marketplace and regulatory strategies impacting PG&E and its customers
- Partnering with Engineering Standards, Regulatory, and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators
Qualifications
Minimum:
- 10 years of related experience or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Desired:
- PE Stamp (State of California)
- Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers
- Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
- Master’s degree in job-related discipline
- PMP Certification
