Position Summary

 

This role will work closely with leadership in the PG&E Vegetation Management (VM) department – Customer Experience & Stakeholder Engagement team to implement strategies and manage complex projects in support of the VM department goals and targets. Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program operation is effective. Responsibilities typically include supporting Program Management in achieving program metrics and objectives.
•    Serve as Chief of Staff to the Customer Experience & Stakeholder Engagement department
•    Recommending strategies to improve management of VM programs and constraints
•    Support of ad hoc tasks assigned by VM leadership. Examples include: preparing slides for executive leadership, preparing for critical meetings by gathering and summarizing key status updates, drafting executive summaries on emergent situations, performing ad hoc analyses, identifying personnel issues or concerns, raising critical items for leadership awareness and resolution, attending meetings as delegate for Director / Senior Director
•    Supporting overall team management needs, including facilitation of regular operating reviews, preparing logistics and content for all-hands and team meetings, implementation of Joy at Work initiatives, tracking of internal and contract personnel onboarding and offboarding, adoption of Lean Initiatives.
•    Proactively identifying risks and trends that may negatively impact VM’s ability to meet programmatic commitments and working with relevant stakeholders to drive mitigations for those risks.
•    Developing, measuring, and reporting on the success of programs and commitments led by the VM organization.
•    Partner with other VM organizations, other PG&E departments, and external partners to develop and implement strategies to successfully meet WMP and other commitments, while meeting the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
•    Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
•    Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners.
•    Partner with Regulatory and Compliance teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meetings with regulators.
•    Identify stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E.
•    Developing and implementing policies and procedures.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company, in good faith, believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate that the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis, taking into account these factors.
 
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $140,000
Bay Area Mid-Point: $189,000
Bay Area Maximum: $238,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $133,000
California Mid-Point: $180,000
California Maximum: $226,000

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

This position is hybrid. You will work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. The headquarters location is

•    Lead the development of program goals and metrics to meet company goals and objectives.  Collaborates across the organization to ensure alignment of goals to support the program.  
•    Responsible for utilizing other departments and teams to meet program goals.  
•    Organize and lead cross-utility project teams to influence decisions within utilities, regulations, and the industry.
•    Leads large statewide energy efficiency programs or efforts on behalf of PG&E to resolve issues and conflicts or to educate other parties. 
•    Develops or provides significant input to PG&E leadership, other utilities with similar programs, and industry and regulatory decision-makers to influence marketplace and regulatory strategies impacting PG&E and its customers.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 10 years

 

Desired:

 

•    Familiarity with Utility Vegetation Management program management
•    Strong verbal and nonverbal communications
•    Master’s degree.
•    PMP Certification or other experience managing complex programs
•    Ability to understand the business to help drive strategic decision-making and recommend operational improvements.
•    Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers.
•    Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams.
•    Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs.
•    Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact.
