Position Summary

 

The Business Performance Analyst analyzes processes and utilizes Lean Six Sigma techniques to develop and recommend operational process improvements. They manage cross-functional teams and partner with peers and leaders to implement process changes and conduct ongoing measurements. The incumbent may own ongoing process management or administration. The incumbent also provides business analytics, including research, data analysis, metric implementation, forecasting, and reporting, in support of business decision-making, strategy, and operations.

 

  • This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to report to their assigned office location at least one to two days per week. The remaining days may be worked remotely, depending on business needs. The headquarters location is flexible and must be within the PG&E service territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company, in good faith, believes it may pay for at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
 
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $151,000
Bay Area Mid-Point: $204,000
Bay Area Maximum: $257,000
&/OR
CA Minimum: $143,000
CA Mid-Point: $194,000
CA Maximum: $244,000

 

Job Responsibilities

 

•    Responsible development, maintenance, tracking, and reporting of GIS Production Mapping metrics
•    Monitors and ensures accurate data feeds from multiple sources
•    Drives continuous process improvement and manages complex technology and data process improvements and projects.
•    Develops and tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations, or risk assessment, and presents findings to leadership.
•    Leads multiple complex process improvement projects by carrying out various project tasks such as process mapping, data collection, data analysis, metrics analysis, root cause analysis, and documentation.
•    Works on complex problems having a broad impact that require in-depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
•    Oversee and design vendors and contractors to deliver work management applications, including data logic, accurate metrics, and data engineering problems
•    Deliver regular metrics and Visual Management for Operating Reviews and ensure quality and accuracy of reported data
•    Transform and map business requirements and processes to data inputs and outputs
•    Mentors and guides less experienced colleagues
•    Responsible for backing up the leadership team when necessary

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
•    10 years of relevant business, operational, financial, or process improvement experience
•    Experience with MS Power BI
•    Experience with MS Power Apps
•    Experience with HTML
•    Experience with SQL

 

Desired:

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
•    Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
•    Lean Six Sigma Certification
•    Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
•    Ability to apply project management theories, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level
•    Ability to research as needed to perform at the job level
•    Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, which includes applying principles, techniques, and procedures to the design and production of technology-based equipment and systems, as needed to perform at the job level
•    Knowledge of electric utility operations and business processes as needed to perform at the job level
•    Experience with SAP and Analysis for Office
•    Ability to work independently with limited oversight
•    Ability to influence and lead behavior change
