Collaboration Experience, situated within the Digital Workplace, is dedicated to providing and maintaining end-user technologies and capabilities to deliver a best-in-class user experience. We specialize in collaboration services, productivity tools, virtual desktop environments, Windows lifecycle management, and application packaging. Additionally, we offer comprehensive third tier support, encompassing product vision, strategy, and management.
Position Summary
The role of the IT Product Specialist is to manage the entire lifecycle of assigned IT product(s) or service(s). Major responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders in the selection process, developing detailed system designs from requirements, contract management, vendor management, capacity management, contributing to future direction and roadmaps, escalated support and product consulting, and documentation.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft 365 Senior Product Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our Exchange On-Premise and Exchange Online environment, as well as our other M365 collaboration tools, ensuring that they meet the needs of our organization and its users.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $122,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $194,000.00
OR
California Minimum: $116,000.00
California Maximum: $184,000.00
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of the Exchange On-Premise and Exchange online environment
- Working with stakeholders, leads the development of an implementation that utilizes the best of IT standards, service offerings and operational needs to provide choices of technology solutions
- Provide technical third tier support and training to end users
- Assist with managing the governance of Exchange as well as other collaboration services
- Develop and implement tools, scripts and frameworks of moderate complexity that drive efficiency in automation and management of current environments
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in Exchange and M365 related technologies
- Participate in team rotation On-Call 7x24x365 in support of escalations
- Participate in after business hours operational maintenance activities and deployments for all M365 Collaboration services
- Develop procedures for routine Service maintenance/operations tasks
- Cross train on other collaboration technologies i.e. Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint online, Stream, Entra ID, etc
- Train other team members on Exchange and Exchange Online
- Manage Exchange mailboxes, Distribution Lists, and other assets
- Provide 2nd/3rd level support as it relates to Collaboration services
- Identify, document, and streamline existing policies, processes, and procedures
- Monitor and respond to issues or service requests reported to the Service Desk and creating and resolving problem tickets for chronic service issues.
- The work product has significant impact (financial, public perception, operational, legal) on the Company, the department or IT as a whole and this position will represent the company's interest in a project with clearly "high stakes" under general guidance
- Work with other engineers, architects, and product specialists to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements

- Familiar with Active Directory, Networking, Firewalls, Load balancing, DNS, and Group Policy
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- 4 years of relevant technical experience.
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Exchange or Exchange Online deployment and administration
- Strong knowledge of Exchange and Exchange Online architecture, features, and capabilities
- Strong experience in PowerShell Scripting
- Experience with creating/maintaining Power Apps/Power Automate solutions
- Experience with Exchange Online development tools and technologies
