Department Overview 

PG&E's dynamic Finance Application Services (FAS) team ensures that all finance systems are operational, managed and effective to support the needs of a dynamic finance organization. The team is also responsible for driving structured improvements into finance processes and systems via large scale multi-year projects and small enhancements released on timed schedule.

Position Summary 

We’re seeking a curious, collaborative Information Systems Analyst with a customer-centric mindset, eager to learn new processes and excel at working with finance business teams. You will be part of a dynamic team that enables the Finance and Controllers organization to operate, record, report and manage financials. You will provide overall support towards business requirements gathering, conceptual design, end0uer acceptance testing, and guidance on the overall improvement of applications used by Finance.  

 

Leverage your expertise in data management, preparation, and transformative data models that drive financial success. You should have SAP general knowledge, the ability to problem solve, understand financial processes including Invoicing, and be proficient in MS Excel.  

 

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office one day per week. This could be scaled up should business needs require, or company requirements change.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.    

 

Pay Range: 

Bay Area: $80,000 – $110,000 annually  

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provides ongoing operations and maintenance support for existing functionality in one or more of the Finance Modules of SAP. This includes month end close support, end user support, training material development and delivery and troubleshooting errors. 

  • Provides O&M support for all Finance applications. 

  • Identifies and supports implementation of process improvements. 

  • Conducts one-on-one or small team training. 

  • Supports deployment of new products.  

  • Familiar with data base concepts and some working knowledge with SQL Server. 

  • Designs, configures, tests, trains end users and supports deployment of new products.

  • Translating complex business requirements into actionable insights 

  • Prioritizing customer needs to deliver impactful solutions 

  • Working with others to define improvements or new data models to meet businesses’ requirements 

  • Translate business requirements into data models. Identify new opportunities 

  • Ability to write process flow diagrams that improve existing processes 

  • Offer ongoing support to address user concerns, troubleshoot issues, and optimize user experience. 

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of applications, including technical specifications, guides, and system changes. 

 

Qualifications: 

Minimum: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience  

  • 3 years of experience including process improvement implementation, report maintenance and development, and product deployment or related work experience 

 

Desired: 

  • 2 years in an SAP/Business Warehouse (BW) operations and maintenance support environment
