Information Technology is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions. The Meter to Cash Delivery area within Information Technology, is accountable and responsible for delivering various regulatory commitments which directly impacts our customers. The work ranges from projects, enhancements, O&M around fulfilling those regulatory commitments.
Position Summary
Leads a project team in Meter to Cash Delivery area that develops new applications, designs and installs new IT technical architecture and infrastructure systems, or enhances existing systems which directly impacts PG&E customers. Assembles the project team and utilizes the provided cost and scheduling tools to define the scope, budget, and resource needs, and controlling other project variables. Functions as a liaison between IT and the Business Client. Acts as the go-to person that represents the entire project from the planning through to the deployment stage.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office(OGO) based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $144,000
Bay Area Maximum: $244,000

Job Responsibilities
- Accurately and consistently forecasting project resource, material and contract costs within a standard PG&E tool(s)
- Actions and recommendations impact achievement of department goals
- Acts as lead on IT cross-functional projects/initiatives
- Assessing project performance and implementing changes as necessary to ensure the projects remains within specified cost, schedule, scope and quality objectives
- Clearly defining and communicating roles, responsibilities and expectations for all members of the project team
- Communicating individual project roles and expectations
- Communicating status of all projects to stakeholders and management
- Conducting project kick-off meetings
- Consistently demonstrates advanced knowledge and technical competence
- Coordinating any required contract work within defined PG&E policy
- Developing and maintaining a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients
- Developing and Maintaining up-to-date detailed project schedules and work plans
- Developing metrics, procedures, objectives and methods to assess project progress while using established standards and quality objectives
- Driving all project related tasks to completion
- Ensuring all project team members have the tools and training necessary to perform effectively
- Exercising independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with moderate scope and complexity
- Functioning in a process oriented environment
- Gathering, defining and documenting project requirements
- Independently planning all associated work to meet project goals
- May act as a team lead and/or coach to developing employees
- Monitoring critical project milestones, and identifying ways to resolve schedule issues
- Obtaining and defining staffing requirements and forming project teams
- Often serves as a technical coach, trainer, or mentor for others.
- Preparing all project documentation for closure, storage, and possible auditing activities, ensuring technical accuracy
- Providing direction and leadership to project management analysts and schedulers
- Recognized as “go to” expert among peers.
- Recording, tracking and communicating issues, risks, changes, and status reports within a PG&E standard tool
- Resolving problems of project specific scope within procedural guidelines
- Responsible for leading one or more projects typically between $100,000 - $10,000,000
- Responsible for the concurrent management of one or more complex projects. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved. Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or business management or equivalent experience
- Experience in IT-Information Technology product development cycles, complex, 8 years
- Experience in IT-Information Technology professional service agreements
- Experience in project management, 5 years
- Experience in IT-Information Technology, 8 years
- Fluent in technologies such as Microsoft Project Plan
- Highly proficient in managing Agile as well as Waterfall projects
- PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
