Position Summary

IT Asset Data Governance enables the understanding of asset inventory, associated asset risks, and development of mitigation and continuous improvement plans for addressing asset data gaps. IT Asset Data Governance Lead role drives the development of the standards, policies, and procedures for IT to effectively manage their asset records. This role drives the adoption of the established enterprise data governance framework across IT, and generates compliance reports and metrics to measure adherence to enterprise data governance standards.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $129,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $207,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs IT asset governance, compliance, and oversight administration, including the application of data quality controls and monitoring to maintain asset information and data integrity and quality
  • Leads the development and implementation of the IT Asset Management System in compliance with ISO 55001 requirements
  • Develops the tools and processes that help IT efficiently and effectively manage their compliance requirements.
  • Leads in developing and deploying IT data governance framework/standards relating to data policies and processes in the areas of data ingestion, data movement, data quality, master data and data life cycle management.
  • Develops monitoring processes and metrics and conducts continuous reviews of IT data to ensure assets are in compliance with framework/standards
  • Ensures remediation plans are developed and implemented where data fails to meet established data governance framework/standards.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders across various organizations to apply established data governance framework (developing data stewardship, data custodian roles, data dictionary, metadata management, and access controls).
  • Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Identifies the developmental needs of others, and coaches and mentors others to improve their knowledge or skills.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience in data governance implementation, 10 years

 

Desired:

  • Understanding of ISO 55001 standard and Asset Management System implementation
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Utility industry experience, or related
  • Experience with NERC-CIP, SOX, or CCPA regulations and standards
