Department Overview

The Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) Program develops multi year optimized investment plans for the Electric organization by integrating system needs, solution options, cost, execution considerations, and enterprise risk. IGP partners closely with Asset Strategy, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Regulatory teams to ensure that investment portfolios deliver the greatest value to customers within real world constraints.

Position Summary

The Principal, IGP Portfolio Owner is a senior individual contributor role with enterprise level accountability for shaping, governing, and optimizing one or more Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) investment portfolios. This role owns portfolio outcomes, not just analysis or process, and is responsible for ensuring that multiyear investment decisions are value-driven, risk-informed, affordable, and executable.

Operating with significant autonomy, the Principal Portfolio Owner serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating complex system needs, risk tradeoffs, and strategic objectives into clear, decision ready portfolio recommendations that guide PG&E’s long-term electric investments.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. Position will report to Oakland or Pleasanton twice a week or as needed.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
