Position Summary
 Serves as qualified company representatives responsible for providing direct oversight of activities of inspection contractors. Incumbents are the liaisons between the contractor and all other workgroups that may be involved in the successful completion of the construction project.. Incumbents focus on quality control, quality assurance and foster a safe work environment by exhibiting an absolute commitment to safety for self and others

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum: $​87,000.

Bay Area Maximum: $​131,000.

&/OR​

California Minimum: $​83,000.

California Maximum: $​124,000.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:
•    Directly and independently interacts and acts as a subject matter expert with project contractors at the construction worksite. •    Acts as a liaison between construction activities of project contractors and coordination personnel.
•    Considers and documents compliance   requirements of projects.
•    Conducts Job Site Safety Analysis on site and assures continuing safety.
•    Verifies all job sites are set up to PG&E, and State and Local standards, and permitting requirements.
•    Leads efforts to develop and implement strategies to reduce cross bores.
•    Communicates contractor activities with all of the various stakeholders performing work for project .
•    Provides training to new or less-experienced staff.

•    Engage with customers professionally, remaining calm and composed in high-pressure or emotionally charged situations

 

 

Qualifications:
Minimum:
•    High School or GED

•    3 years of experience in construction related work in either an underground, gas or sewer capacity.
•    Class C driver’s license

 

Desired:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.

•    Experience at PG&E (as an internal employee, Hiring Hall or contractor)
•    Experience in gas or sewer.
•    MS Office suite skills.
•    Extensive knowledge of the One Call Law & PG&E Damage Prevention measures.

•    Ability to read relevant drawings.
