Position Summary

Acts as a liaison between PG&E and our Substation Engineering Contractors . Provides planning, strategic analysis, and operational support. Facilitates, directs, and coordinates activities and special projects related to the execution of the Substation Owner's Engineering outsourced work portfolio.  

 

The selected candidate must live within PG&E’s service territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

  • Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)            $129,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)        $168,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $207,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Helps support interactions with contractors to support work plan portfolio. Prioritizes issues and facilitates/takes corrective actions, as appropriate.
  • Support the organization, in analyzing costs and making recommendations on cost reduction initiatives based on data.
  • Analyze work processes and makes recommendations on how to integrate and improve processes.
  • Provide analysis for workload efficiency and making recommendations on future resource needs based on the data.
  • Lead special projects to resolve urgent issues.
  • Build relationships with all vendors and their leads
  •  Work with other LOBs to gather feedback and make improvements
  • Maintain and Enhance guidance to Owners Engineers and Internal Engineers on dealing with Contractors
  • Work closely with Sourcing and Contract Management on MSA’s and contracts
  • Work with the key stake holders to provide our vendors with workload forecast to gain efficiencies
  • Manage LAN ID’s and contractor Workforce
  • Assess Vendor Capabilities and Strengths as well as provide feedback for improvement
  • Evaluates contractor performance based on established business metrics (project/program and portfolio level). Prioritizes issues and facilitates/takes corrective actions, as appropriate.
  • Provide analysis for workload efficiency and making recommendations on future resource needs based on the data.
  • Lead special projects to resolve urgent issues.
  • Lead Contractor Communications Meetings

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience
  • 8 years of job-related working experience 

 

Desired:

  • Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
