Department Overview
The hardworking coworkers of Electric Engineering ensure all manners of electric engineering—including electric standards and process safety, electric design engineering, instrumentation testing and controls, undergrounding, electric regulatory compliance and electric investment planning—are in place to safely enable a strategic and stable workplan for our Electric Operations partners. Our organization is accountable for program planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects. Electric Engineering is comprised of approximately 2,000 coworkers.
Position Summary
Manages the operation of the Asset Knowledge Management (AKM) Front Door Program, as well as the implementation of process improvements for the program. Ensure the program operates effectively to serve the needs of the AKM GIS Strategy team and its customers. The Program Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the AKM Front Door and the associated projects/tasks/initiatives/processes.
This position is hybrid and requires 1 day per week in the office. The assigned work location is flexible within the Bay Area or Sacramento Greater Area.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $129,000
Bay Area Maximum: $207,000
OR
California Minimum: $123,000
California Maximum: $197,000
Job Responsibilities
- Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues.
- May act as a team lead and provide direction to less experienced employees.
- Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions.
- Communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences using a variety of media.
- Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.
- Provides team members with guidance around completion and tracking of goals and objectives for the AKM Master Portfolio
- Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions.
- Provides direction on overall program.
- Provides reporting on overall program.
- Performs in-depth quality assurance final reviews and contract drafts.
- Develops new or revises existing scopes of work to ensure compliance standards and deliverables are established.
- Develops supporting documentation for program and related processes.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Business
- Job-related experience, 8 years
Desired:
- Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
- 10 years of related experience or equivalent
- Ability to use understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision making, and to recommend operational improvements
- Ability to lead the largest most complex projects across the line of business supported (i.e. Customer Care, Human Resources, etc.)
- Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers
- Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
- Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
- Residence within the Bay Area or Sacramento Greater Area
