Department Overview
PG&E’s dynamic Transportation Services team is responsible for managing all aspects of the PG&E transportation related equipment, from a piece of equipment’s initial design stage to its final disposition. The transportation team is comprised of several interrelated departments including transportation engineering, garage operations, and business operations (Fleet IT, Regulatory & Compliance, Pool and Rental Management & Fleet Finance) each of these departments work together to provide our clients with a full-service transportation solution. The work of our Transportation Services department is key to the company's success and provides challenge and variety beyond the day-to-day business operations associated with the service and repair of the PG&E operating fleet including, but not limited to, involvement in regulatory and compliance issues, capital planning, clean air and alternate fuel initiatives, project support, company policy review, safety and technical analyses.

 

Position Summary

Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. Ensures program is operating effectively.

 

Job Responsibilities

    • Program Manager of Fleet Asset Optimization and Utilization to optimize the footprint of PG&E’s fleet and enable cost savings.
    • Leads process improvement efforts by providing innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.
    • Works with Functional Area Leaders and Regional Fleet Coordinators to troubleshoot standard adherence challenges.
    • Applies advanced knowledge of Fleet Assets to develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives.
    • Manages cross-functional projects or initiatives. Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.
    • Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross-functional impact.
    • Develops communications and leads change management processes for successful implementation.

 

The position is hybrid and will work partially from your home office, with on-site days at any major service center as business needs require. The successful candidate can live anywhere within the PG&E service territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
 A reasonable salary range is: 

Bay Area Minimum: $122,000

Bay Area Mid: $158,000

Bay Area Maximum: $194,000

California Minimum: $116,000

California Mid: $150,000

California Maximum: $184,000

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years

 

Desired:

 

  • Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
