Position Summary 

PG&E is seeking an experienced performance and analytics professional to serve as the Expert Program Manager – Performance Reporting within Electric Risk and Compliance. In this role, you will lead initiatives to define, implement, and optimize performance measurement frameworks across Electric Risk and Compliance. Responsibilities include aligning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and maturity metrics with strategic objectives, regulatory expectations, and operational priorities in support of PG&E’s True North Strategy. 

You will collaborate closely with Data Analysis and Tools teams to ensure that the right data is gathered, validated, and leveraged to produce actionable insights. The Expert Program Manager will also identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate problem solving sessions when metrics and KPIs are offtrack, ensuring corrective actions are effectively prioritized and monitored. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)            $129,000.00

Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)        $168,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $207,000.00

 

Minimum Base Salary (California)         $123,000.00

Mid Base Salary (California)      $160,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (California)        $197,000.00

Responsibilities 

KPI & Metrics Framework Development 

  • Design and maintain enterprise KPI trees and metric hierarchies that reflect strategic goals and compliance maturity. 
  • Establish standards for KPI definitions, ownership, and reporting cadences across Electric Compliance functions. 
  • Partner with Compliance Strategy to align metrics with the Compliance Maturity Model (CMM) and applicable regulatory frameworks. 

Collaboration with Data Analysis and Tools 

  • Work closely with Data Analysis and Tools teams to gather, validate, and integrate the appropriate data for performance measurement and reporting. 
  • Ensure data sources and analytics tools support robust, actionable insights for leadership and operational teams. 

Metrics Governance & Reporting 

  • Ensure consistency, traceability, and audit readiness of performance data across reporting platforms. 
  • Define governance protocols for metric validation, change control, and cross functional accountability. 
  • Lead performance reviews and reporting cycles for leadership forums (e.g., Risk and Compliance Committee (RCC), Commitment Information Center (CIC)). 

Opportunity Identification & Problem Solving 

  • Identify opportunities for improvement based on performance data, trends, and insights. 
  • Facilitate problem solving sessions with cross functional teams when metrics or KPIs are offtrack, driving alignment on corrective actions and tracking progress through completion. 

Program Oversight & Strategic Facilitation 

  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration to drive adoption and consistent use of performance frameworks and actionable insights. 
  • Architect and deliver data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present performance results in a compelling and accessible manner. 
  • Support the development and implementation of standardized metrics to measure progress against compliance maturity, effectiveness, and strategic objectives.

Qualifications 

Minimum 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business
  • 8 years of related experience or equivalent 

 

Desired 

  • Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline 
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, integrated planning, or increasingly responsible business roles, including developing performance metrics 
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into measurable KPIs and performance frameworks 
  • Experience developing and presenting executive level reports and scorecards 
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and influencing skills 
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) 
  • Experience working with compliance frameworks and regulatory bodies 
  • Demonstrated ability to build cross functional partnerships and drive enterprise wide initiatives
