Department Overview

Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions. The SAP Project System and Project Portfolio organization provides SAP IT services to various line of businesses. The organization is responsible for strategic technology planning, roadmap development, solution design, solution delivery and solution support.

 

Position Summary

This person will be working on SAP S4 Enterprise Portfolio Management related initiatives. It is expected that this person is well versed with all phases of the system development life cycle (SDLC), including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, development, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support.

 

This position works closely with IT Architects, Functional Analysts, Testers, business subject matter experts to design, develop and maintain EPPM family of applications. Candidate must be highly motivated and take initiative to work with other members on application issues openly, directly, and respectfully.


PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $122,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $194,000.00

&/OR

California Minimum: $116,000.00

California Maximum: $184,000.00

 

This position requires at least 3 days in-person in office. Working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliverables in project management, software enhancement development, compliance, operational/disaster recovery, operations and maintenance
  • Work with architects, clients, and peers to provide strategic guidance within the overall SAP technology roadmap and promote standard SAP solutions and best practices.
  • Provide expert consulting to satisfy short-term and long-term business needs.
  • Taking the leadership of a project and/or initiative
  • Rapidly perform business processes analysis needed for the projects or enhancements.
  • Effectively coordinate the work on analysis and requirements for several projects
  • Provide expert consulting in information technology to the client and peers to identify and satisfy the business and company needs, while help anticipate potential problem and issues.
  • Evaluate and document solution alternatives to business problems.
  • Qualify (or define) business requirements for projects and enhancements.
  • Facilitate, influence, and build agreements on IT requirements and deliverables for multiple business clients.
  • Performs system functionality gap analysis and provides RICEFW inventory for assigned projects.
  • Cost estimating for RICEFW or enhancements.
  • Analyze end-to-end complex business processes, create solutions, and documenting functional designs needs development, testing and support.
  • Translate business requirements to technical requirements for the development team.
  • Assisting with data conversion/migration, testing, training, and cutover activities
  • Provide knowledge transfer/training to other team members.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of SAP functional or technical experience in Project System
  • 5 years of SAP S4HANA Implementation experience
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis

 


Desired:

  • Hands on experience with SAP S4HANA, and/or Business Suite on HANA
  • SAP EPPM Functional Expertise
  • SAP EPPM (Portfolio and PS), PM, and MM Module experience
  • Expert knowledge of the Application Project Development Lifecycle
  • Skill and experience leading solution design and development on multiple SAP EPPM implementation projects
  • Experience in system integration
  • Hands-on configuration experience and solid technical understanding of EPPM SAP Gui and Fiori Applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience in Agile Project Management
  • Oracle Primavera P6 experience
  • 8+ years of experience designing interfaces from SAP to non-SAP external systems
  • A solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structure, algorithms, and software design
  • Experience in configuration of SAP Gateway Services
  • Experience designing SAP interfaces from/to non-SAP external systems
  • Ability to work with complex interfaces.
  • Hands on experience with Enhancement Concepts like: Classical Enhancements (User Exits, Customer Exits, Screen Exits, Menu Exits, Field Exits, BADIs) and Enhancement Framework Concepts (Implicit Enhancements, Explicit Enhancements, Enhancement Spots, Enhancement Sections)
  • Experience in HANA and S4 HANA tool sets
  • Experience in SAPUI5, SAP Fiori and Knowledge in SAP Netweaver Gateway consuming OData and CDS services
  • Experience with data transfer and interfacing tools such as BDC, ALE, BAPI, EDI, RFC, PI, SAP Connector
  • SAP Certified Professional Certifications in PPM and/or Project Systems
