Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented project Manager to join our IT PMO team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 

 

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office(OGO) up to 2 days a week and or as business needs change. 

 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $144,000

Bay Area Maximum $244,000

 

Job Responsibilities 

 

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, track and manage project activities with the cross functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Develop robust communication plans and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and make necessary amendments.
  • Prepare and present project health summary reports to executives.
  • Uphold project standards and ensure compliance with IT methodology requirements.
  • Provide oversight to the project teams through project planning to ensure delivery, resource efficiency, and risk mitigation.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to software development standards and processes.
  • Provide project communications and status updates to stakeholders and executives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, agile environment.

 

Qualifications 

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of experience in project management and business analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge in Excel, Project, Access Word; able to create pivot tables
  • Advanced business analysis research and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent MS Powerpoint and presentation skills.
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification

 

Desired:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work effectively and navigate ambiguous environment.
  • Planisware, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite of Applications tool experience
