Position Summary

Provides strategic finance support for Information Technology (IT) leaders within a governance structure that guides and supports strategic decision making, capitalizes on investment opportunities, reduces costs, and enhances operational effectiveness. Creates and drives Business Unit (BU) financial plans to meet the company’s financial and operational objectives. Monitors and reports monthly/quarterly financial results. Provides recommendations for decision making. Provides financial, operational, and regulatory decision support. Ensures compliance to financial and regulatory policies. Identifies and drives cost and productivity improvements.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA approximately once per week or more, depending on business need. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $182,000.00
 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Independently leads complex projects/analyses across cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Works on complex problems having broad impact that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
  • Performs complex quality assurance on data to ensure accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials.
  • Provides advice and ensures timely and accurate completion of the following major financial endeavors: Three Year Operating Plan, Monthly and Quarterly Business Review Support, Program Forecasts and Trends.
  • Provides guidance to others regarding the interpretation of policies, reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.
  • Provides expertise on the design of controls into new and existing processes.
  • Responds to data requests for areas such as incident investigations, compliance and regulatory audits, or customer inquiries.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in area of field.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 5 years

Desired:

  • Job-related experience, 7 years
  • Experience leading Lean/Six Sigma/Process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting IT/Technology/Product BU
