Position Summary
The Director, Regional Workplace Management role establishes the vision and strategy, provides leadership, governance, and policy guidance to PG&E for all activities related to the delivery and performance of an 8 million square feet portfolio, approximately 750 buildings, budget of $130+ million in operating expenses and $300+ million in capital spend annually. The Director, Real Estate and Facilities Services provides guidance to senior management in matters of strategic interest and value to the corporation pertaining to real estate strategies and facilities policies, practices and standards and aligning department plans with company strategies. The Director, Real Estate and Facilities Services partners with officers throughout the Company to ensure current and future business requirements are accounted for in formulating the enabling real estate strategy and delivery of services that are consistent with corporate direction.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work headquarters in Oakland.
Reporting Relationship
The Director, Regional Workplace Management will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Real Estate.
Job Responsibilities
- Establishes a high standard of customer service excellence throughout the entire Corporate Real Estate Strategy & Services (CRESS) Facilities Services (FS) organization.
- Partners with cross-functional senior leaders to ensure successful execution of facilities operations strategies which will translate into measurable year-over-year improvements in business client engagement, satisfaction, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Partners with officers in the various lines of business throughout the Company to ensure that all current and future business requirements and common goals are taken into account in CRESS business and operations planning to successfully execute corporate real estate services.
- Implements the continuous improvement process to drive cost savings initiatives and overall quality improvement. Champions proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Leads the development of policies, programs, processes and procedures to ensure precise operations planning, responsiveness to Company’s ongoing facilities’ needs, and mitigation of risks.
- Leads with coworker and public safety in all decision making, embracing company stands, frameworks and operating models.
- Leads, trains and mentors a diverse workforce of managers, union-represented employees and service providers exceeding 750 people to provide best-in-class facilities services targeted to enable operations and continually enhance the coworker experience.

Compensation
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $159,000
Bay Area Maximum: $271,000
Background Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelors' degree in job-related field (engineering, operations management, real estate, architecture, business, finance, environmental, etc.), or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience in managing assets and/or work execution.
- 7 years in a leadership capacity.
Desired
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Industry certifications preferred.
- Experience in managing assets and/or work execution within a large, distributed portfolio of mixed office and light industrials uses.
- Demonstrated experiences in leading and influencing at a large corporate facilities planning, development and visioning at the senior level.
- Previous hands-on technical expertise.
- Experience interacting with and managing a Union-represented, diverse, and varied workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to influence diverse teams at all levels of the organization – especially at the C suite level.
