Department Overview

The Enterprise Protection Data & Analytics (EPD&A) Business Operations team is responsible for the management and governance of Financials for EPD&A and for the execution of program and project delivery for Corporate and Cybersecurity.  The Cybersecurity Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is the arm of the EPD&A Business Operations team responsible for Cybersecurity projects and programs.

 

Position Summary

This is a challenging and fast paced position in PG&E’s EPD&A organization and is integral to delivery of projects and programs within the Cybersecurity Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The Cybersecurity Business Process Analyst, Expert serves to ensure superior delivery and rollout of cybersecurity projects through a combination of requirements analysis, change communications, and metrics reporting in collaboration with the PMO leadership.  The position requires coordination with user communities, cybersecurity and EPD&A leadership, and broader IT functions.  The position requires deep experience with Project and Program Management using both waterfall and agile methods. Collaborates with and manages work across cross functional teams ensure successful and measurable implementation within the context of the PG&E’s lean playbook.  The work location is hybrid and can located within the PG&E service territory but will require regular travel for in-person workshops and meeting as needed; the demand for in-person collaboration is expected to grow with the adoption of Lean within EPD&A.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum:  $118,000

Bay Area Maximum: $188,000

California Minimum: $112,000

California Maximum $179,000

 

 

Job Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Business Process Analyst, Expert serves to ensure superior delivery and rollout of cybersecurity projects through a combination of requirements analysis, change communications, and metrics reporting in collaboration with the PMO leadership. 

 

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide expert consulting in information technology to multiple clients to identify and satisfy their business needs
  • Identify, propose and influence IT solutions to complex crossorganizational business problems; negotiate requirements and deliverables across multiple business customers and organizations
  • Communicate IT processes to the business clients. Contribute to IT Methodology.
  • Document requirements as needed to enable best value technology decisions or to provide clarity to product teams in support of business objectives
  • Support for the developing the agile release train (ART) for Cybersecurity, including representing the user community when required.
  • Support visual management of projects through the development and tracking of metrics and KPIs in collaboration with the PMO team.
  • Plan and coordinate communication of major cybersecurity technology rollouts to the enterprise in conjunction with the Cybersecurity and IT communication teams.
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with stakeholders across cybersecurity and the wider IT community.
  • Facilitate Lean within the Cyber PMO, with a focus on standard work, problem solving, and waste elimination
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance and complexity
  • Adapt to changing processes and execution requirements
  • Drive all assigned and oversight tasks to completion

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 6 years’ experience in Information Technology, including experience in business process
  • Lean Six Sigma certification

 

Desired:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or SAFe Certified Professional
  • Experience with the following programs – Planisware, Agile and Waterfall Methodologies, Infrastructure and Application implementation, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert understanding of PG&E’s Lean playbook

 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge of requirements definition in an agile environment
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills
  • Advanced understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • Understanding of PG&E’s business and IT strategies and objectives
  • Strong organizational skills to bring order across disparate teams, making agreements with stakeholders to meet objectives
  • Understanding of how to drive change in a complex environment
