Department Overview
The Enterprise Lean Office (ELO), part of the Customer and Enterprise Solutions team, champions the deployment of the Lean Operating System at PG&E. ELO is responsible for developing standards, leading training, and deploying coaches to support PG&E coworkers to effectively implement Lean at PG&E.
Position Summary
The role is in the Enterprise Lean Office team, whose work includes enterprise lean consulting, program strategy, development of enterprise standards and job tools, functional area support, and reporting, in addition to a variety of lean management and performance initiatives. This role supports the team’s effort to provide lean tools and technology to leadership and cross-functional teams regarding development, implementation, and lean maturity across the organization.
The Lean team is a business partner and expert to the entire organization and sets the lean framework for the company. Within this context, the principal program manager will help lead PG&E’s lean program by managing projects identified by the lean manager, analyzing data to identify trends and working with lines of business to turn the department’s insights into improved tools and standards for the company.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $136,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $232,000.00
Job Responsibilities

Developing and/or applying innovative tools and solutions to support lean programs and enterprise-wide initiatives, with a focus on how the lean program help solve challenges and improve efficiency.

Supporting development of materials for educating employees and leaders on lean plays to support organization-wide understanding and application of lean.

Helping drive continuous improvement in lean program; consistently demonstrating innovative new thinking focused on lean strategy, performance and implementation.
- Leads complex or major projects with high corporate or functional priority.
- Leads implementation of process improvements and efficiencies at enterprise level
- Identifies, analyzes and improves existing business processes at enterprise level to meet new goals and objectives.
- Performs analysis on the most complex data models that have cross-functional impact and presents recommendations.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and thought leader, and applies extensive unique expertise.
- Provides leadership and support in development of business planning and strategy for program design.
- Analyzes end-to-end complex business processes, systems, and information needs of the clients across multiple Lines of Businesses (may include external entities).
- Develops and executes organizational strategy into business plans and metrics to drive accomplishment of goals and metrics.
- Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
- Collaborates with leaders, other LOBs, and business partners to work on issues, projects or activities.
- Leveraging contacts within and beyond the Company to pressure-test and refine lean solutions;

Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Job-related experience, 10 years
Desired:
- Masters Degree in Organizational Change or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
