Department Overview

 

Position Summary

Responsible for coaching the delivery of PG&E's highest priority projects using Lean principles and tools.  Will deliver discrete work products that drive overall Lean maturity in alignment with PG&E's near-and-long-term objectives/executive guidance. Managing client satisfaction, key organizational relationships, and driving performance management related to cross-functional metrics and program, project and initiative objectives.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and either our Oakland, Dublin, San Ramon or other Bay Area office, approximately 2 - 4 days per week, or more, based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $136,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $232,000.00

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Acts as a subject matter expert and thought leader and applies extensive unique expertise.
  • Coaches complex or major projects or desired outcome with high corporate or functional priority.
  • Serves as assigned Lean Coach to multiple Functional Areas or Command Centers to advance organization’s Lean maturity
  • Works with Functional Area leads to apply Lean principles and PG&E’s “5 Lean Plays” for critical projects, command centers, or other enterprise deliverables
  • Provides leadership and support in development of business planning and strategy for program design.
  • Analyzes end-to-end complex business processes, systems, and information needs of the clients across multiple Functional Areas (may include external entities).
  • Develops and executes organizational strategy into business plans and metrics to drive accomplishment of goals and metrics.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Leads or coaches implementation of process improvements and efficiencies at enterprise level
  • Identifies, analyzes and improves existing business processes at enterprise level to meet new goals and objectives.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 10 years

 

Desired:

  • Masters Degree in Organizational Change, Industrial Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience coaching multiple levels in an organization on Lean implementation, up to and including executive leadership
  • Familiarity with PG&E’s Lean Playbook/5 Basic Lean Plays
  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
