Department Overview

The Enterprise Lean Office (ELO), part of the Customer and Enterprise Solutions team, champions the deployment of the Lean Operating System at PG&E.  ELO is responsible for developing standards, leading training, and deploying coaches to support PG&E coworkers to effectively implement Lean at PG&E.


Position Summary

The role is in the ELO Standards team, whose work includes development of enterprise standards and job tools, functional area support and ELO reporting, in addition to a variety of lean management and performance initiatives. This role supports the team’s effort to provide lean expertise to leadership and cross-functional teams regarding development, implementation, and lean maturity across the organization.


This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA based on business needs.


PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.


This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.


A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $182,000.00


Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies, analyzes and improves existing business processes at enterprise level to meet new goals and objectives.
  • Creates and updates Lean Standards for the enterprise, ensuring the supporting materials are consistent.  Manages internal governance processes for alignment and consistency across all Lean materials.
  • Supports implementation of Lean Play 4 (Standard Work), in partnership with other team members
  • Develops and/or applying innovative tools and solutions to support lean programs and enterprise-wide initiatives, with a focus on how the lean program help solve challenges and improve efficiency.
  • Supports development of materials for educating employees and leaders on lean plays to support organization-wide understanding and application of lean.
  • Helping drive continuous improvement in lean program; consistently demonstrating innovative new thinking focused on lean strategy, performance and implementation.
  • Provides leadership and support in development of business planning and strategy for program design.
  • Manages TIP and key metric reporting for team
  • Develops and implements effective business strategies in support of the company and department.
  • Collaborates with leaders and stakeholders to work on issues, projects or activities.
  • Leveraging contacts within and beyond the Company to pressure-test and refine lean solutions


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 7 years


Desired:

  • Experience in business operations analysis, or related
  • Familiarity with PG&E’s Lean Operating System and Five Plays
  • Experience in coaching, or related
  • PMP-Project Management Professional certification
  • Certified Problem Solver, LSS-Lean Six Sigma Certification or completion of other Lean training
  • Process Improvement certification
