Department Overview

The hardworking coworkers of Electric Engineering ensure all manners of electric engineering—including electric standards and process safety, electric design engineering, instrumentation testing and controls, undergrounding, electric regulatory compliance and electric investment planning—are in place to safely enable a strategic and stable workplan for our Electric Operations partners. Our organization is accountable for program planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects. Electric Engineering is comprised of approximately 2,000 coworkers.

 

Position Summary

Evaluates the effectiveness of business processes, practices and procedures. Recommends improvements to current processes, practices and procedures.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business needs. Will be required to work in San Ramon/Oakland multiple times per month.

 

Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.


A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum:  $80,000

Bay Area Maximum: $120,000

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicates with peers and management inside and outside of the department exchanging ideas or gathering information.
  • Determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to conduct root cause analysis and determine issues.
  • Develops and delivers end-to-end process training materials.
  • May participate on project teams
  • Performs research internally and externally and leads other Process Analysts or business clients in analyzing established processes, practices and procedures as directed.
  • Performs root cause analysis on moderately complex processes selecting from various process report and data options.
  • Understands business process needs and develops new reports, performs custom and ad-hoc reports working independently. Presents findings to various audiences.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Job-related experience, 2 years

 

Desired:

  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
