Department Overview

 

Order Governance and Controls is responsible for governance of our work orders. We provide guidance to reduce open order backlog, implement process improvement, and provide visibility and enhanced tools for end-to-end management of orders. We constantly strive to improve order closure and cancel cycle time and utilize LEAN techniques and tools to simplify and standardize processes to create efficiency.

 

Position Summary

 

Support department and/or line of business system needs. Identify and implement process and system improvements, manage communications, coordinate and deliver trainings for essential business procedures/processes, and drive development of new resources and tools.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned location based on business needs.

 

The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $ 78,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)          $ 116,000.00

 

OR

 

Minimum Base Salary (California)           $ 74,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (California)          $ 110,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Full understanding of department and/or line of business function and responsibilities
  • Full understanding of internal business partner functions and tools and resources used to perform job duties
  • May gain expertise and serve a particular niche where they are depended upon by other people to provide insight/feedback.
  • Manages an ongoing activity, tool or system (SAP, Analysis for Office, PowerApps)
  • Communicates with peers inside and outside of the department exchanging ideas or gathering information.
  • Participates as an active team members on cross functional core teams to develop new products and/or improve processes
  • Is able to handle more complex tasks. Exercises judgment by selecting from different methods, approaches and tactics.
  • Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general guidance on new assignments.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience
  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid California Driver’s License or equivalent on day one of hire

  • Experience in a utility or regulatory industry
