Department Overview

 

PG&E Corporate Security leads the effort to deliver secure and reliable people and technology physical security capabilities across the PG&E organization. Collaborating closely with Cyber Security, Corporate Security is dedicated to protecting California’s critical infrastructure by connecting physical, operational, and cyber defense to reduce risk and enhance resilience. The department consists of forward-thinking security operators, builders, and creators who design and manage protective operations that keep the organization at the forefront of modern security—combining disciplined execution with continuous improvement, innovation, and strong partnerships throughout the business.

 

Position Summary

 

This is an entrylevel opportunity ideal for someone eager to learn, contribute, and grow at the intersection of business operations and corporate security operations. The role is well suited for a curious, motivated selfstarter who brings a cando attitude and is energized by supporting teams, improving how work gets done, and helping a department mature its operational practices.

 

In this role, you will work closely with senior security and business leaders to support key initiatives that strengthen process discipline, resource development, and overall program effectiveness. You will help plan and facilitate meetings and workshops, map and document business processes, develop tools and resources, and track action items to ensure followthrough and results.

 

The position provides handson exposure to how complex security operations are supported by strong business foundations, clear processes, and thoughtful change management.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.   

 

Bay Area Min: $73,000.00

Bay Area Mid: $91,000.00

Bay Area Max: $109,000.00

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage communications – building powerpoints, drafting department and leadership emails, communicating action items and meeting agendas.
  • Develop internal work procedures, processes and tools and collaborate with the director team on implementing and tracking impact of process improvements
  • Assist Director team with key department initiatives such as team workshops, meeting planning, training, stakeholder meetings and focused campaigns/initiatives
  • Liaison between various departments and cross functional teams to ensure the right work is getting done at the right times
  • Provide recommendations for change in the department that will lead to the success of company goals and cost effectiveness
  • Build workshop packs (agenda, objectives, pre-reads, prompts, templates) and capture outputs into concise readouts.
  • Own action-item governance: log actions, assign owners, track due dates, escalate risks, and publish weekly status snapshots to keep momentum.
  • Create stakeholder-ready summaries: translate complex work into crisp updates for leaders and partner teams (what changed, why it matters, what’s next)
  • Compile and prepare reports for upper management in partnership with data and analytics teams
  • Utilize resources to successfully address inquiries from internal business partners

 

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience   
  • Must have a degree conferred by the start date.
  • Must have permanent authorization to work full time (40 hours a week) in the United States. PG&E will not provide visa or immigration support.
