The Office of the CIO (OCIO) represents the cross-functional IT Management capabilities that enable running the business of IT. The OCIO focuses on supporting IT's operation model by ensuring a consistent, transparent and efficient approach to the way the IT organization delivers value to its partners. The core of the OCIO consists of four areas essential to the long-term success of IT: Contract Management, Culture, Program Management Office and Investment Management.

 

Position Summary

Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office(OGO) up to 2 days a week and or as business needs change.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000.00

Bay Area Maximum $182,000.00
 

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging issues.
  • Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives.
  • Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.
  • Executes OT/UT while managing call delivery requirements across sites.
  • May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts.
  • Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact.
  • Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.
  • Build predictive models that will better detect anomalies, estimate accruals, and resolve financial imbalances.
  • Assist in the initiation, conducting and coordinating studies and analysis on IT operations, resource allocation, financial reviews; and analyzing programs to ensure that program goals and work plans are on target.
  • Participates and assists in the preparation of the annual business plans for the assigned IT functional area, and coordinates contract or resource management efforts including making recommendations based on analysis work.
  • Maintain annual capital and expense budgets utilizing proper accounting/budgeting controls, enter financial data into tracking system, and compile regular and ad-hoc financial status reports.
  • Implement cost allocation program and respond to questions and concerns from the business areas. Review contract invoices, identify disparities, and resolve issues with the vendors.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 6 years job-related experience
  • Strong knowledge of business and financial planning, professional concepts as they apply to the IT organization
  • Experience with budgeting process
  • Strong organizational business understanding
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge in Excel, Project, Access Word; able to create pivot tables
  • Advanced business analysis research and problem-solving skills.

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Amazon Web Marketplace
  • Tools: JIRA, SMC Remedy, Wiki
