Department Overview

The Corporate Affairs organization supports the company by providing regulatory expertise, managing the development, approval and implementation of regulatory filings, rates and tariffs, and advocating the business needs to our stakeholders and regulators. Regulatory Proceedings leads the business in achieving company goals by working with regulators and other stakeholders. Today’s business needs require innovative thinking and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Position Summary

The Case Manager manages the regulatory process for assigned cases and identifies compliance requirements arising from regulatory directives. The Case Manager will develop case materials, including performing policy and quantitative analysis to support PG&E’s desired outcomes. Case Manager may act as an expert witness. Case Manager will act as a Project Manager: Forms the case team, develops the schedule, milestones and deliverables, manages issues, leads development of key case materials. Develops / Reviews / Analyzes testimony including policy and quantitative analysis, discovery, and other case materials. Tracks / Monitors / Implements compliance with regulatory directives. Develops / Recommends / Reviews the case strategy, cost recovery, tariff changes and other proposals in regulatory proceedings. Communicates case status or information, strategy, or key issues to PG&E management, CPUC staff and external stakeholders

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.

 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $66,000

Bay Area Maximum: $98,000

 

 

Responsibilities

• Assists with all phases of case management, including project and process management.

• Under the direction of the Case Manager, conducts research on previous, similar cases to support current case proceedings. Performs some analysis on data.

• Assists with development of testimony, work papers and discovery responses, settlement documents and communications materials.

• Reviews and summarizes comments on the case for various stakeholders as well as proposed decisions and other regulatory filings, and identify compliance requirements.

 

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.

• 0-2 years related experience

 

Desired

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience with regulatory issues related to utility operations and ratemaking

• Experience in policy development,revenue requirements, rates, or accounting
